Series of not-so-unfortunate events

Went for combat shoot yesterday. My first 'outfield' since commissioning. =) Basically went to Pasir Leba Live Firing Area for it. Basically it's the same course for section live firing. Everything started off quite ok.. but when we reached there, found out that quite alot of things not settled. 1 x rover to handle ammo and double up as safety vehicle. Hence the recce of the evac route was delayed. Upon recce-ing of the evac route, found a freshly fallen dead fall. Tried to move it but cannot. So had to look for alternative evac route to an alternative medical centre.

First shot out was delayed by an hour and a half. Things went smoothly for the rest of the morning. Come lunch time, it began to rain. (whao my first 'outfield'). Quite a big one and hence the course was muddy. I dun mind crawling in the mud, but who likes crawling in mud? Anywayz.. since my detail was last to go so it wasn't THAT muddy. As luck would have it.. it rained AGAIN. This time it was heavier.. now the course is almost like a swimming pool.

Boresighting the rifle.. found out the boresighting was missing a screw top! Cannot boresight.. zz night shoot need to xchange rifle. At night.. prone and crawl in a pool of mud and dirt.. not fun. Hai.. and most sian is..... my detail was just 7 hits away to markman!!! F**k! 7 hits away from a badge and $200!! Lauuzzzzzzzz..

And if that wasn't enough.. the finale.. en route back to camp. The bus tyre punctured in the middle of TPE. -___-" Quite suay bah.. Look forward to combat shoot 2.. another chance at the badge and money. $$$$
