Went over to my uncle's house ytd for a gathering. I kinda like going to his house. The scenery is really nice! Decided to 'practice' my photography since someone said my skills were lousy. Here goes!

X'mas Eve Steamboat

Having a steamboat on xmas eve feels weird. I've always imagined a christmas dinner should include turkey and whatever else that is suitable. Still, it is a great way to celebrate x'mas. What matters most is who you spend it with. =) Life... is good. For now. (Pics are abit blur.. due to lousy camera.. and possibly lousy photographer.)

Pity that the outdoor steamboat had to be shifted indoor due to the intermittent showers. Crazy but cool weather. My fav time of the year =) After that, we went to watch "Ip Man" @ west mall. I think it's one of those good movies that this year has to offer. Still, I want to watch "Yes Man"!! Anyone?

over~~! Annual chalet at HomeTeamNS chalet @ pasir ris! Hmm.. it's rather big compared to previous chalets we had in the past years. This year's treasure hunt has recevied positive feedback and comments. I would say it was a successful one! Thanks alot to mr chua and mr lee for coming up with the ideas and dedicating time and effort to make it happen!! =)

Still, attendance is dwindling with each passing year..

Finally met up with my poly peeps, esp bryan since he's in sg for the holidays. It's a little crazy, he's doing his masters in australia and by the time he gets his masters, i'm still in NUS!! =.= As usual, the attendance wasnt very spectacular.. only 5 of us including myself.

At the end, the funny thing is that mark told us that the price was $12/pax.. so we gave $100 expecting $40 in change. But only $10 came back. And we were all quite stunned for a few seconds. So we enquired and found out that is was $18/pax. We learn something new everyday. When it comes to price, mark cannot be trusted. [Proof: he told us the dim sum buffet at harborfront is only $8/pax.]

The Wisdom of...

the speed camera - love is like the speed camera. If u dunno that it exists there, once you pass it and the spark (flash) is over, it's too late for regrets. Same with love, you have to take action before it's too late.

the traffic light - love is like the traffic light. Red, amber and green light. The transition from green to red is just that momentarily amber light. If the traffic light keeps getting stuck at amber light, the traffic is screwed. Vehicles are unable to determine to continue going forward or stopping. So one must be determined and take action immediately and not keep hesitating (amber light). It causes both parties to be confused.

Above are inspirations from somebody. I think it's pretty much easy to guess who that 'somebody' is. The words aren't exactly like that, but the idea roughly there.

*Sidenote: Weather's really good at this time of the year! Good for run.. sleep.. slack.. outdoor activities. =) My dream of a white christmas has been shattered though. Was suppose to go Shanghai and Beijing from 24Dec to 01 Jan.. Heard it's snowing there!! AHH!!! =(
