Series of not-so-unfortunate events

Went for combat shoot yesterday. My first 'outfield' since commissioning. =) Basically went to Pasir Leba Live Firing Area for it. Basically it's the same course for section live firing. Everything started off quite ok.. but when we reached there, found out that quite alot of things not settled. 1 x rover to handle ammo and double up as safety vehicle. Hence the recce of the evac route was delayed. Upon recce-ing of the evac route, found a freshly fallen dead fall. Tried to move it but cannot. So had to look for alternative evac route to an alternative medical centre.

First shot out was delayed by an hour and a half. Things went smoothly for the rest of the morning. Come lunch time, it began to rain. (whao my first 'outfield'). Quite a big one and hence the course was muddy. I dun mind crawling in the mud, but who likes crawling in mud? Anywayz.. since my detail was last to go so it wasn't THAT muddy. As luck would have it.. it rained AGAIN. This time it was heavier.. now the course is almost like a swimming pool.

Boresighting the rifle.. found out the boresighting was missing a screw top! Cannot boresight.. zz night shoot need to xchange rifle. At night.. prone and crawl in a pool of mud and dirt.. not fun. Hai.. and most sian is..... my detail was just 7 hits away to markman!!! F**k! 7 hits away from a badge and $200!! Lauuzzzzzzzz..

And if that wasn't enough.. the finale.. en route back to camp. The bus tyre punctured in the middle of TPE. -___-" Quite suay bah.. Look forward to combat shoot 2.. another chance at the badge and money. $$$$

IR Royale

Watched Casino Royale on Saturday. And true to the reports on the papers, it has a different approach compared to the previous 007 movies.

The plot is somewhat different. Instead of the villain having plans to take over the world and all that, this is a new change. Just about a villain who wants to recoup losses and 007 comes in to the picture. Not alot of high tech gadgets. Without fail there will still be nice cars.. and of course the bond girls (not very hot i must say).

Will be looking forward to the next bond film.

The next step

Reached home not long ago.. upon reaching my desk.. 2 letters lay on it. 1 was the phone bill.. the other was from NUS. Quite stunned. Wasn't really expecting it this year. Now is only like mid-november?

Will be starting school on 6th Aug 07.. and as usual.. the paper work need to be done by the end of this month. Luckily I'm on quite a long leave, so shouldn't be a problem. =)

How fast time flies.. hardly a year ago.. I was jus embarking on my military life.. and now.. I'm preparing to resume my civilian life.. not that i dun like it.. i love it actually.. but a military life really isn't that bad. (Probably because of my job scope. whahahaha!) ;)

Emptiness

Just finished watching the whole Goong series.. (yes i know it's a little late, but better late den never =p) Quite love it really. Really pity the Prince Yul.. Took me 3 afternoons to finish watching the drama.

Can kinda relate the show to us... the palace is like SAF? hahaha! Lots of rules.. and every movement is being watched by the public.. can't wait to ORD really. about 7 months more? Whao.. v fast eh.. And guess what.. The day i ORD.. is the day hy commission! LOL. It's as though handing the torch down.

Not sure why, after watching the whole Goong thing, got this sudden feeling of emptiness.. a big gap of void.. Like nth to look forward to. Can anyone tell me why?

And guess what. Time to book in! DO duty tmr.. sianzzzzz Probably drop by Shawn's birthday party on the way back to camp. Not gonna stay long.. no one i know will be there.

Good or bad?

Internal audit is just next week! Of late, I'm seeing most of my clerks being stressed out in the preparations for audit. But how come I myself not feeling so stressed? It can only mean two things. It's either I'm doing too well or I'm not doing enough for the audit. =.=

Despite the audit coming next week.. I still took leave. LOL. I think for the previous question, the answer is rather obvious.. it is the latter? haha.... next week, the truth will be unveiled! Still that is not the end.. After the Internal Audit.. comes the External Audit in early Jan 07. Diez...

Sick?

Damn it. Feel weak all over. Think I'm sick. But only got a bad cough and sorethroat. =.= Yesterday still go eat BBQ. It's a wonder i have yet to lose my voice. =)

Headache on what to wear for Qian's 'romantic' theme later at her birthday party at Chevrons.. Got quite a shock yesterday, came home and we had cable tv? Found out from my bro it's just a promotion thing for 1yr. So for the next 365.25days, I'll have free cable tv. Shiok eh
