you looked up at the night sky lately? I counted 50+ stars on one night. Lately there hasnt been much cloud cover at night, which is good!

According to the NASA eclipse website, there will be a 80% annular solar eclipse on 26 Jan 09! Yup.. 初一！ It will happen from 5.30pm to 6.00pm. More on it here and here

When...

a grp of guys come together on MSN to discuss something, we tend to drift away from the topic at hand very easily.. Was discussing abt some school issues which might lead complications when graduating. Somehow, we drifted to some NUSSU bash (beauty pageant)... NS.. discrete maths... law... and some crappy jokes about protesting peacefully outside the dean's office... etc.

A trip back in time

i have been reading past blog entries.. in a way it kind of remind me how much i've grown / improved. I was reading my old blog entries.. I got reminded of:

• We used to play Gunbound(gb). Remember the double kills? Dual+ items?


• Maplestory.. Hell, i even blogged abt reaching lv70. I've stopped at lv117 ever since. It was a craze back then


• Blog tagging! Remember those?


• The girls in BO*YF used to outnumber the guys. How many of u still have the chain necklace we made for ourselves?


• How the army really trained me up.(remember zero-fighters?) Quite determined to maintain at this level of fitness


• All my ocs trainings. I think i blogged abt each n every single milestone training.. fieldcamps.. overseas exercises.. soc.. seoc.. ippt.. commissioning


• How sucky it felt for my internship during poly


• all the personality tests..


• my dream holiday destinations..


• how often we celebrated bdays.. to the pt of my mum saying 'you shi peng you de shen ri' [又是朋友的生日]


• remember that we got stucked in a lift on jeff's bday?


• i wrote a simple number guessing game [终极密码]. i've imported it over. It's below the tagboard.


• CNY of 2005.. i was doing FYP on chu san （初三） and hy had a 财神爷 visiting his house.


• i used to write clin to refer ah fat, instead of chongz now

I finally realised i could actually catch a glimpse of a waterbody! I dunno what it is though.. port? straits? The sun was reflecting off the surface and it caught my eye


Term time is approaching! Just another one of those nights when i just cant fall asleep. (Insomnia? maybe. My body is screwed) The moon last night was really nice as it was near the horizon making it look bigger. These were taken at between 0330h and 0400h.

Somehow... the moon disappeared. If u hadnt noticed, the moon's glow was getting fainter. It wasnt a lunar eclipse. I tried to think what could have caused it.. but.. i.. fell asleep.

Relativity...

implies nothing is at rest. Never stop in life. If you do, you're already behind the rest of the world.

Resolutions

I'm just shooting whatever comes to mind. In no particular order,

• Travel: Overseas to places like china or taiwan. Climb mountains / go 乡下 for a walk. Like hiking or maybe backpacking. The destination does not matter. I've been in SG for way too long. I want to travel.


• Learn to cook: Felt kind of useless during the chalet. I admit I have too good a life. Must learn how to cook more dishes. For now, I can only vaguely remember how to cook simple dishes.


• Be a better friend: Somehow, i feel that i can do better.


• Take control back in my life: Always caring about how others will view me. I'm determined to do whatever i deem i shd do.


• Results: yh dun kill me pls. >.< But as a student, i shd strive hard to get the best possible results. I know results are secondary but that's just me.


• Marathon: I want to complete at least one. Either the sundown or standard chartered or both. Looking for running partner(s)! Timing is secondary. I just want the company (and the top).

Counted down @ ECP. The ships harbored there blew their horns and started shooting off lots of flares! It's has a different feeling compared to fireworks. It's... slow. So you can kind of enjoy it longer. Like little comets in the night sky. =) Managed to see the fireworks that was going on at the marina area. Back home, my aunts and uncles came to our house to countdown as well. Heard from my mum it was quite happening.. Mahjong table and poker table. Typical CNY-like atmosphere. They were able to see fireworks from marina, yishun and jb!
