A trip to nowhere

Seems alot of my friends are going overseas soon, already on overseas or already came back from their overseas trip.

What's up? Come to think of it.. been a long time since i last went overseas. The last time i went was Taiwan. And it was for a military exercise! (Had fun though now to think about it..) So if to exclude that.. the last trip was to Seoul. And that was almost 3 years ago? o.O

Hopefully.. if the opportunity presents itself, an overseas internship during University might be enticing. =)

If you've been watching television the past several weeks, you would see the advertisement on the game Granado Espada. Yup.. that's what I've been playing since ORD. The game is cool. Nice graphics and environments.

试一试会死吗?不会对不对?

Congratulations!!

Congrats to 2LT Lee Hao Yong. 38 weeks of training have finally paid off. A platoon commander's job is not easy. So pls be prepared. =)

Will upload the pics soon.

*As promised: the pics are now uploaded.. but having problems sharing. So I'll just post the highlight of the parade.

OCT LEE HAO YONG

2LT LEE HAO YONG in the making...

An Officer at last! Smile =)

And of course, the most impt pic for all comms parade.. The tossing of caps!!

On a side note..

Watched Ocean's 13 on Friday. Great show. Always like it when they manage to beat the system and pull of a heist of great proportions. =) It's about 2hrs long. Not very draggy, just nice. Catch it.

ORD: Operationally Ready Date

In case you do not know what does ORD stands for. It used to be ROD which stands for Run Out Date. I guess ORD is more style.

Anywayz, went back to camp today to collect my IC. Wasn't very estatic or anything. Just glad thats all. Another chapter in life closes. And another will begin when my university classes begins. =)

All in all, it has been a postive experience for my these past 2 years.

ORD LOH!

Just when you thought...

Date: 060607
Time: 1800hrs
Avenue: Classified

CPT Joefrey (walks in to my desk): Hey Zhe Heng, just now S3 kept calling me. I think you better be mentally prepared. Might need you to be safety for Alpha Company's platoon prof test.

*Seconds later, S3 gives CPT Joefrey a call.

CPT Joefrey: Hello Sir. Yes Sir. Later at 2100hrs? With alpha main body. Ok. LBV and jockey cap. Anything extra to bring? Luxury items. Ok. Till when Sir? Tomorrow 1530hrs. Ok. Bye Sir.

*He turns to look at me and give me that 'you got arrow-ed' look*

2 days to ORD and they throw me this big arrow. Thanks ah..

When I arrived at 2100hrs. My RSM looked at me and exclaimed,"Sir, what are you doing here? I thought you going ORD?" I gave that 'suck thumb' look. Little did I know, throughout the next day, everyone kept asking me the same question!! zzz

Still, it was quite ok la.. tho very long nv go outfield already. Got lots of mosquito and sandfly bites.. cooked in the afternoon blistering sun.. but i took a few pics with some people for memory keepsake.

Countdown to ORD: 1 DAY.

Counting Down...

2.5 working days to ORD!! Went for an interview at this recruitment agency just now. Hope can get a temp job for the next 2 months before school starts!! I'm broke!

Just bought a new laptop from the PC Show that ran from Thurs to Sunday. ASUS A8Sc. $2398. No joke. Can feel the pinch. Aside from the compatibility issues that Windows Vista has with some programs, it's rather ok. The keyboard needs a little adjustment cause the key config is different from my previous laptop. =/ Finally got to play C&C 3!! (I know , abit slow but my previous laptop couldn't take it. Still better late than never.) Hopefully this laptop will last another 3 to 4 years throughout my uni studies.

Watched the final few episodes of the 1st volume of 'Heroes' yesterday. Looking forward to the next instalment of Heroes. Not sure what they are going to face this time.

*Please try to make yourselves free to attend Haoyong's Comms Parade. It really is a spectacular parade and a milestone for haoyong to finally attend officership after 38 weeks of tough training.
